Bar, Montenegro, April 7, 2013 – Poland, Italy, Turkey, Serbia, Greece and Slovenia have secured the six CEV vacancies to this year’s FIVB Girls' Youth World Championship in Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand. The top eight nations in the final ranking have also qualified for the European Youth Olympic Festival in Utrecht, Netherlands, which includes the organisers, The Netherlands.
Today, I celebrate the one-year anniversary of taking up ownership of the AVP. This past year has been an adventure, filled with highs and lows. But throughout it all, my excitement and enthusiasm have never waned. I honestly can’t wait for this upcoming year and the growth of the AVP as the premier domestic beach volleyball tour.

Mary Anselmo’s volleyball roots were established in sand.
Anselmo received her first exposure to the sport at the beach. Her father, John, played on the AVP Tour, and she spent much of her childhood hitting balls a few feet away from the ocean.
Her younger sister, Natalie, followed the family’s footsteps in the sand and began her development into an AAU national beach champion..
The Hague, Netherlands, March 28, 2013 – Dutch volleyball legends Richard Schuil (39) and Reinder Nummerdor (36) have announced that they will continue playing in 2013.
The Dutch pair have won nine FIVB events in seven years, but missed out on an Olympic medal last year in London, where they lost the bronze medal match to Latvia’s Martins Plavins/Janis Smedins.
