A Second Glimpse from 2017

 |

The 2017 season has come and gone, and it was a monumental year for our athletes, our fans and the sport.  We returned to the iconic beaches of Hermosa, CA for the first time in seven years and added Austin, TX to the tour schedule for the first time since 2005.  We also introduced the new #AVPGoldSeries in New York City, Manhattan Beach and Chicago, which offered increased prize money & AVP points for the athletes and an elevated experience for the fans.  This season we crowned the youngest team to win an AVP tournament, along with the oldest man to win an AVP tournament.  We had a team take home the SoCal Slam, winning Huntington Beach, Hermosa Beach and Manhattan Beach in one season.  And, this season we had our largest attendance the AVP has ever seen, both at events and watching online.

We are all a significant part of this #AVPFamily we have built.  Every athlete (from the AVPFirst circuit to the stars of the pros), every fan, every parent, every staff member, every sponsor- we all make up the AVP and it’s all of us together that make the AVP so special.

As family and fans alike, you see what happens during competition time – but what are some of our #AVPFamily members up to when they aren’t on Stadium Court?  Here’s a Second Glimpse from 2017 made up of seconds from our days.

To each and every one of you, thanks for a great season, and cheers to a bigger and better 2018.

Together, we are #AVPStrong.
