I thought about writing a column this week, but have decided to go a different direction. First of all, since I made the announcement about giving away the #HolidayHealthPack to 3 winners, that’s what most people want to hear about anyway

Also, I wanted to take a second to just write a few things that I am thankful for this holiday season:
- Friends and family. I have made some amazing friends simply giving the best of myself in everything I write. I am still in touch to this day with many of the first people I worked with 5 or 6 years ago. They may appreciate me for inspiring them to make changes with real benefits. I just want all you to know that I appreciate YOU for the focus and discipline to live a healthier lifestyle!
- The AVP and specifically Donald Sun. When I had to designate a Facebook handle for my personal profile many years ago, I chose Facebook.com/AVPRuss. I had quite a few people tell me that that was a dangerous way to promote myself because I was not in control over whether the AVP existed or not. I love playing beach volleyball and I appreciate all the people at the AVP working hard to provide this opportunity. Support the AVP as much as you can and #MrHealthyMonday posts.
- When I made the decision a few years ago to change what I put into my body in the hopes it would have a real impact on how I felt, it was scary. I just want to thank any and every company out there who is more committed to providing the research on what they’re doing and the science they are advancing. Without that resource database, I would be nothing. The world has changed and there are quite a few companies who are more committed to quality than simply the bottom line.
