The USA vs Brazil Challenge this past weekend generated a lot of hype and started to get everyone excited for Rio 2016. While Brazil won the overall, the US did bring home some hardware. Check out the full recap of the event here.
Following the event, April Ross wrote a blog about her experience there and how it was a great learning experience for her and partner Kerri Walsh. “As hard as it was to lose those three sets, we have taken away so much information about ourselves, where we are as a team, and what we need to work on from these games. It’s really been invaluable.” To read the full blog, click here.
In the U.S., the men’s NCAA season is well underway. It was an exciting weekend of some pretty close matches as well as some unexpected 3-0 match wins. Read the highlights from the weekend on Off The Block.
Last but not least, the collegiate sand volleyball season begins this coming weekend! Teams have been preparing since the fall for this, and the schedule of matches is jam packed with tons of action every week. To see the fully compiled schedule, collegesand.org created this document.
