Denver Open – Contender Event

It may be landlocked, but make no mistake – Denver is no stranger to beach volleyball.  Home to over 150 beach and grass volleyball events each year, the Mile-High City returns to the spotlight with the 3rd Contender Event of the year.

Location: The Island – 2233 S Geneva St, Aurora, CO 80247

Parking: Island Main Lot is FREE if you carpool with 4+ and it is $10 if you are solo or a big spender. On Street parking is also available. Please respect our neighbor’s private lots so you are not towed. Better yet, Uber/Lyft and enjoy the day with no worries.

Chairs and Tents. Seating is limited so please feel free to bring a camping chair or beach chair and perhaps an umbrella for shade.  Please do not bring a tent.
VIP Seating:  There will be a VIP tent or two adjacent center court for Sunday auctioned off on Saturday!  Support Volley4Charity, buy a courtside tent.
Food and Beverage: No outside Food, beverage, ice chests, etc are allowed at the venue, however full concessions are available. Water stations will be available if you bring an empty water bottle.

The AVP Denver Open is one of our favorite Contender events every year, so this year we decided to let the Juniors come play in the mountains, too! Start the weekend early for our first-ever AVP Juniors 4-Star Mountain Championships and then stay all Independence Day weekend for the star-studded AVP Denver Open. More bids, more points, and a chance to watch high level beach volleyball on the 4^th of July!
