Sponsors Responsible for The Gold Series New York City Open

Event Details

The schedule’s third event is New York City, which is hosting the AVP for the fourth consecutive year. The unique setting of a Hudson River pier, the AVP Gold Series // New York City Open is just half a mile from the tallest building in the Western Hemisphere, One World Trade Center.  With this tournament being the only one in the Eastern Time Zone, in the nation’s most populous city, the first to occur after the unofficial start to summer (Memorial Day), and the first of the AVP Gold Series with elevated prize money and points- the New York City event will be a defining one on the 2018 schedule.  To learn more about the AVP Gold Series and what that means, read here.

Along with more prize money and more points, the AVP Gold Series also means the race to Hawaii.  Two teams from each gender will receive an invitation to the AVP Hawaii Invitational, Presented by HTA based on their best finishes in two of the three Gold Series events.  See where the athletes are in the race with the AVP Gold Series Standings, brought to you by Truly Spiked & Sparkling.

Join us at Pier 25/26 Hudson River Park- 225 West St. New York, NY 10013.  If you’re joining us in New York City for the ultimate beach day, we want to make sure you have the ultimate weekend with the nycgo NYC Visitor Guide.  This official guide will give you all the NYC information you need to help plan your trip, including what hotels to stay at, where the best places are to eat & drink, and what attractions you need to catch after the tourney.  Plus, you can use AVP’s Event Guide for all the information you need about the tournament and the location.
