We are proud to celebrate the 2018 AVPNext Zonal Champions who competed fiercely in our nationwide AVPNext circuit this season. With their hard work on the courts, they worked tirelessly to climb the ladder of AVP points and have been granted the coveted bid into the Main Draw of the iconic 2018 AVP Gold Series // Manhattan Beach Open, Presented by Acer where they will play alongside the greatest beach volleyball athletes in the nation. This year’s Manhattan Beach Open will take place August 16th – 19th and will mark the 59th event in the storied history of the longest running, continuous tournament in the sport. The Manhattan Beach Open is known as the “Super Bowl” of beach volleyball and is considered by many to be the birthplace of the sport itself. Throughout this weekend’s Gold Series tournament, 32 of the best men’s and women’s teams will battle at the historic venue for three days of a double-elimination Main Draw play.
The Main Draw includes 14 automatic-entry teams, 2 AVP Wild Cards, 8 AVPNext Zonal winners, and 8 Qualifier teams.
