AVPNext events will be taking place in both Southern and Northern California this summer as AVPNext has teamed up with the California Beach Volleyball Association (CBVA) to designate three tournaments in each region as part of the program.
AVPNext is the official developmental program of the AVP Pro Beach Volleyball Tour and offers the stars of tomorrow a shot at a cash prize and the grand prize of a chance to play their way into the AVPNext Championship Cup and smart AVP Championships at Huntington Beach Sept. 18-21.
Teams will be awarded points based on tournament results. The men’s and women’s teams with the most aggregate points at the conclusion of the series will be named the AVPNext champions for that region.
Designated tournaments in Southern California include: August 9-10 in Manhattan Beach, August 16 in San Diego and August 24 in Huntington Beach. Tournaments in Northern California include: July 5-6 in Santa Barbara and July 19 and September 6 in Santa Cruz.
In order to qualify for the AVPNext benefits of accumulating points, winning prize money and the trip to the AVPNext Championship Cup, participants must be registered AVPNext members. Membership for 2014 is free and can be done at https://avp.webconnex.com/avpnext.
