@mmckibbi: #tbt to the time @clhayes13(there was room for only one person in this picture) drove 1,500 miles in 7 days, to 5 National Parks, with 2 Harry Potter audio books (book one and two), 1 case of RED 🍷, (not WHITE, that lasted us only half the trip so then we took a 3 hour detour to get more, #worthit), both soundtracks from Guardians of the Galaxy (plus the solid complimentary tracks I added 💪🏻), 3 bundles of wood for the fires we built out in the middle of nowhere, 2 strands of battery powered Christmas lights we haphazardly hung up in the van, 1 impromptu decision to turn north instead of south, solely based upon the advice of a convenience store clerk (it was the best decision we made all trip), and one bottle of champagne split between the two of us, shared beyond the legal guardrails of the Grand Canyon (picture above, duh), all in one Mercedes sprinter van with a bed and a kitchen in the back. It was the trip of a lifetime, the best of my life, and I’m 100% going to do it again, @clhayes13, you’re invited too 😜. #vanlife @mercedesbenz

I read this quote last week & it stuck with me. The idea connects with my strong belief that what we focus on expands. By directing and influencing our thoughts and our focus we can change how we see the world and how we experience life. It’s certainly not always easy to do but it’s powerful.
