Evan began playing volleyball at 14 after watching his parents compete in recreational leagues at Coconut Beach in Metairie. He started playing indoor volleyball at 16 and eventually earned a scholarship to Lincoln Memorial University, becoming the first male player from Louisiana to compete at the Division I level. During his collegiate career, he broke nearly every major program record, including kills, aces, and digs, while earning All-American honors.

After college, Evan returned to beach volleyball, though the start of his professional career was delayed by the COVID-19 pandemic. He played his first full AVP season in 2022, quickly becoming known for his energetic on-court personality and signature blue nose. During his rookie year, he reached two AVP Tour Series finals in Denver and Muskegon and captured his first international victory on the NORCECA circuit in La Paz, Mexico. He later won an FIVB event with Cody Caldwell in 2024 and is the reigning back-to-back champion of the Denver and Waupaca AVP Contender events, winning both in 2024 with Alison and in 2025 with Troy Field. Evan competes for the Brooklyn Blaze in the 2026 AVP League.

Off the court, Evan enjoys grilling, spending time with friends and family, and relaxing with his wife, Savvy Simo Cory.
