Aleksandra Wachowicz

Aleksandra “Ola” Wachowicz grew up in Poland, where she played indoor volleyball all her life. After playing in the Youth National Team and indoor professional league in Poland, Ola decided to move to the USA to play D1 Indoor Volleyball at St. John’s University in New York City, where she was recognized as an All-American. She completed an MBA degree while playing beach volleyball for Grand Canyon University in 2016. After taking a year break from training and playing, Ola moved back to Poland to join the National Team. She’s currently the Polish Champion, Polish Cup winner, and in the 2022 FIVB season, Ola and her partner finished 5th in the Elite tournament, 5th in the Challenge event, and 3rd in the Futures tournament.

In her spare time, Ola enjoys traveling around the world (even for a 2-day trip), hiking (her recent favorite hiking area: the Dolomites in Italy), cooking (vegan and vegetarian), and playing Dota2 (a very addicting team-oriented computer game; she hopes to one day comment the TI). When she’s away from her NYC home (which is 315 days in a year), she misses her Peloton spin bike very much.
