Brandie Wilkerson was born in Lausanne, Switzerland, to a Swiss mother and an American father from La Grange, Texas, and was raised in Toronto, Canada. As a multiracial athlete, she has embraced beach volleyball’s ability to bring diverse communities together through a competitive, expressive, and empowering lens. She competes on both the FIVB World Tour and the AVP, finishing fifth at the Tokyo Olympic Games and winning a silver medal at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
Brandie also placed second at the 2022 FIVB World Championships and has earned individual recognition as the 2018 FIVB Best Blocker in the World and 2022 AVP Best Blocker. She competed for the Palm Beach Passion in the 2024 and 2025 AVP League seasons, winning the League Cup in 2025. Brandie was named Best Blocker in both the 2024 and 2025 AVP League seasons.
Off the court, Brandie co-founded the nonprofit Project Worthy Scholarship, which supports increased BIPOC representation in Canadian volleyball by providing financial assistance to athletes in need.
