Emily, a Colorado native, moved to California in 2014 to pursue her career in beach volleyball. After a successful indoor career at Wichita State University – where she was a two-time All-American – and four years playing professionally overseas, she decided to transition to beach. In 2015, she made the Elite Development Program through USAV and has been steadily climbing the ranks since. In 2016, she won her first international event at the NORCECA in St. Lucia. Since then, she has earned many more international medals on the FIVB Tour. She was also a finalist at the 2017 AVP event in Austin and won her first AVP event in Seattle in 2019.
During the offseason, Emily helps coach the Boys’ and Girls’ beach programs at Mira Costa High School. Anytime she has a free weekend, she seeks adventure with her dog Gilbert (@cowpigdog_ is a must-follow). You’ll most likely find them in the mountains, camping, riding her dirt bike, or snowboarding.
