College: Urango played four seasons at Southern California as a Defensive Specialist / Outside Hitter. During her career she played in all but just three matches. As a freshman she recorded 40 aces, good for seventh all-time in a single season at USC. She was named First Team Pac-10 Conference All-Academic her senior season, becoming the first Trojan with that distinction for seven years. As a graduate student, she became the first scholarship recipient for USC’s sand volleyball team. Urango and Sara Shaw placed fifth in the first ever AVCA Collegiate Sand Volleyball National Championships.

If you weren’t playing professional volleyball, what would your job be?
I’d be working in the digital marketing industry.

Off-Season: Does it actually exist or is it just a myth?
I use my off-season time to travel as much as I can.

What is your favorite event location?
Huntington Beach is number one because it’s where I grew up playing, but Seattle is great too, beautiful location.
