Things are always #gucci with Kelly Reeves. Raised in San Diego, Kelly comes from a UCLA Volleyball family where her mother, Jeanne, competed and coached for the program, along with her two brothers, Connor and Jake. During her time at UCLA, Kelly helped the UCLA Indoor team to a National Championship Title in 2011 and competed in the inaugural season with the UCLA Beach Program in 2013. Kelly was named the program’s first All-American in 2013. Prior to her beach debut, Kelly played one year of professional indoor volleyball in Switzerland and trained with the USA Indoor National Team from 2014-2015. She then made her debut on the AVP in 2016, finishing 5th in her first Main Draw. She was later named Rookie of the Year in 2016 and has since competed in all AVP events. Kelly’s highest finish on the AVP tour is 3rd place, most memorably in the 2019 Manhattan Beach Open. She has also competed on the NORCECA Tour and FIVB World Tour, with her highest FIVB finish of 2nd place in Cambodia.
In addition to her playing career, Kelly has developed a coaching career in all levels of the sport, including juniors, collegiate, USAV development, and amateurs. In 2022, Kelly helped the LMU Lions finish 4th in the NCAA Beach Volleyball Championships, the best finish in the program’s history. Along with being awarded the AVCA Thirty Under 30. Outside of volleyball, Kelly enjoys cooking, yoga, pickleball, game nights, hanging with friends, and most recently co-hosting the Bet on Her Podcast with fellow AVP athlete Geena Urango, founded by Dana Drambarean.
