Kristen fell in love with beach volleyball the first year she started playing as a sophomore in high school. She continued her academics and beach career in her home state at Louisiana State University. She was named a 3x All-American, AVCA & NCAA Pair of the Year in 2021, 3x CCSA Pair of the Year, and she amassed 139 victories in her career at LSU, making her the winningest player in NCAA collegiate beach volleyball history. After college, Kristen began her first full AVP season, which resulted in a 1st-place finish in the Atlanta Open. She was named Co-Rookie of the Year and also Best Defender on tour. She continued her success with partner Taryn Kloth in 2022; the duo won three events, making them the only on Tour to win multiple events in 2022.
Kristen’s favorite memory in her short AVP career thus far is that first championship in the Atlanta Open. 15-14 in the infamous freeze, gets a dig, gets a beautiful set, and converts on a jumbo over the defender’s head. She collapsed to the ground and then jumped up in excitement, looking at Taryn and her coach Drew Hamilton with pure elation. They had done it. Definitely a memory that will last a lifetime. If Kristen is not playing volleyball, you can find her exploring a new city and food chronicling her adventures on Instagram. Kristen also enjoys being active, even during her downtime. She loves playing tennis, golf, football, or basketball but does not mind relaxing by going to see a new movie in theaters.
