Lili started playing indoor when she was 12 years old. Seven years later, she moved to beach volleyball in a Brazilian project of new talents, playing her first tournament in Macau, China. Lili was incredibly successful in her international career; she is a 7x South American Champion, was U-21 World Champ, 2x Iusofonia Olympic Games Champ, and won the 2011 London Test event against April Ross and Jen Kessy, among other accolades. In that tournament, she had a nagging shoulder injury that was extremely painful. After winning, the organizers honored Lili with one of the most special awards of her career, Hero of the Tournament. In Brazil, the commentator called her “Powerful Woman,” and whenever she entered the court, he played the song “Show das Poderosas” by Anitta. She now listens to that song before every tournament!
Lili is married to her beach partner Larissa, and they have a 3-year-old son together. She has always fought hard for her dreams and remained unafraid of challenges. After more than two decades playing volleyball, Lili still loves waking up every morning and going to practice. Beach volleyball has always brought Lili fun and great memories; she absolutely loves the game.
