Macy has played indoor volleyball since she was 11 years old; she then started playing beach volleyball in 2013 as cross training for her indoor game. She fell in love with beach volleyball and a year later committed to play D1 beach volleyball at Florida State University. Macy earned a spot in the starting lineup her freshman year and remained a starter until she graduated. During Macy’s four years at FSU, she was a four-time Conference Champion (2016-2019), two-time NCAA National Champion Runner-up (2016, 2018), and All-Conference Student Athlete of the year for three years in a row (2017-2019). She graduated with a 3.9 GPA majoring in Biology and minoring in Chemistry. Macy has been playing on the AVP tour since 2019. She and Megan Rice are the Champions of the AVP Virginia Beach Tour Series (2023) where they earned a bid to the Hermosa Pro Series and earned a 9th place. Macy and Megan are also Teqvoly World Champions (2023) and received an invitation to play in a tournament overseas in Esztergom, Hungary.
When Macy is not playing, she is coaching! She’s the varsity beach volleyball head coach at Santa Margarita Catholic High School and indoor head coach for 949 Volleyball Club. Macy currently resides in Carlsbad, CA where she enjoys relaxing at the beach. She often returns to Florida to relish in the Florida heat with her friends and family.
