Megan J. Rice

Despite being born and raised in the heart of beach volleyball culture, Megan did not play beach in high school. She played indoor at Loyola Marymount University and then joined the beach program her junior year. She went on to become an AVCA All-American and WCC Pair of the Year in her final beach season.

In her rookie AVP season in 2023, Megan made an immediate impact by reaching two finals and earning AVP Rookie of the Year honors. One of her favorite memories came at AVP Hermosa Beach 2023, where she reached the finals in her Main Draw debut alongside Savvy Simo in front of friends and family. She competed for the New York Nitro in the 2025 AVP League and now represents the San Diego Smash with partner Geena Urango.

Off the court, Megan enjoys reading, cooking, and spending time with her dog, Winnie.
