Growing up in Latvia, Tina Graudina played beach volleyball and track, earning medals throughout her childhood in international youth tournaments. She played both sports until being recruited to USC for beach. Tina played for the #1 pair all four years at USC and finished her career with an overall 122-9 record. In 2019, Tina took a gap year to fully focus on qualifying for the Tokyo Olympic games. She succeeded and became the first-ever active collegiate player to qualify for the Olympics as well as the first women’s beach volleyball team to represent Latvia. Her latest accomplishments are earning the European championship titles in 2019 and 2022, as well as 4th place at the Tokyo Olympics.
Tina’s double citizenship status allows her to participate in the AVP, allowing her to play with her former college partners Hailey Harward and Megan Kraft and play defense behind Sarah Pavan. Outside of volleyball, she loves hiking, and after climbing down and up the Grand Canyon and visiting Zion, she wants to visit as many national parks as possible. Growing up, she was quiet and loved reading books, but having the USC college experience helped her grow as an open and friendly personality. If you ever wish to surprise her with something nice – Tina loves all kinds of berries and fruits, especially watermelon!
