As the 2019 season approaches, the AVP is thrilled to announce some new and renewed partnerships, giving more opportunities for athletes of all ages around the country to earn those coveted AVP points!

The Seaside Volleyball Tournament (Seaside, Oregon), Volleyball of the Rockies (Colorado) and the Waupaca Boatride (Oshkosh, WI) have all officially joined the #AVPFamily as tournament partners! These organizations have made their mark as some of the largest volleyball groups in the country and the AVP is honored to join forces with these powerhouses to continue to unite outdoor volleyball and grow the game.  What does this mean for you? All of these events fall under the AVP umbrella and allow you to earn AVP points, entering you into the nationwide AVP ranking system and the AVP America Grand Prix Program.

Brian Owen, the Director of the Seaside Volleyball Tournament, stated, “The Seaside Volleyball Tournament is looking forward to working with the AVP again this year! Bringing on AVP America to capture ALL divisions of players, is very exciting too! This partnership will be a catalyst in the sand volleyball scene at all levels in the Northwest and nationwide! ”

“The Waupaca Boatride directors grew up with the AVP in the 80s-90s and consider it a great honor to have our grassroots tournament be associated with the AVP brand.  Partnering with AVP America will help us with tournament seeding, give us more national exposure, and offer our players some great benefits,” said Eddie Zelhofer, one of the Tournament Directors of Waupaca Boatride.

Tom Davenport of Volleyball of the Rockies (VOTR) said, “We are excited to announce a partnership with the AVP’s grassroots program, AVP America. They are growing the games across the USA & partnering with the biggest and best tournaments across the nation.  This will take all of our events up another notch!”

AVP America, AVP’s grassroots program, will be hosting the AVP America Adult Beach Nationals October 5th & 6th in Huntington Beach, CA (the first time being on the west coast).  Teams will earn a spot, along with entry fees waived and a 2-night hotel stay, at the Adult Nationals by winning designated events around the country. These qualifying events and the Adult Nationals itself will include ALL doubles divisions- Open, AA, A & B.
