At the 2005 Huntington Beach Open, Karch Kiraly won his 122nd and final AVP title when he and partner Mike Lambert took on Sean Rosenthal and Larry Witt. It was a three set battle that was nearly identical to their match in round four of the winner's bracket.

To say Kiraly and Lambert earned this title is an understatement. After getting through Adam Jewell and John Hayden, they had to play Stein Metzger and Jake Gibb, and Rosenthal and Witt twice before raising the trophy in Stadium Court.
