The Monster Hydro Cup

Long Beach, CA

July 18 - July 19

Event Details

Beach Volleyball is BACK! The first tournament of the 2020 AVP Champions Cup Series kicks off Saturday, July 18th with the Monster Hydro Cup in Long Beach, California.  Due to the impact of COVID-19, unfortunately, fans cannot attend this event in any capacity.

The Monster Hydro Cup will be made up of 8 Main Draw teams (per gender) — 6 auto entries based on AVP points and 2 teams from Friday’s Qualifiers.  Friday’s Qualifiers will be capped at 12 teams (per gender) based on AVP points & ranking.  The Monster Hydro Cup will be a $200K prize purse, and teams throughout the Qualifiers will be paid out.

While this tournament will crown its own champion & award them with the Monster Hydro Cup, every match and every point matters because it will affect the team’s run in the race to the Champions Cup and the additional $50K bonus purse per gender.

Be sure to tune in LIVE on NBC Saturday, July 18th from at 2pm PST for a Men’s Main Draw match. Then again on Sunday, July 19th at 1:30pm PST for the LIVE Women’s Final. NBC will be the ONLY place to watch the inaugural Women’s Final, so be sure to mark your calendar and set your alarm for this monumental showdown!

Watch the rest of the AVP action throughout the weekend on Amazon Prime Video, where we will be livestreaming every match & every court with on-court interviews, commentary & analysis from Kevin Barnett, Camryn Irwin & Dain Blanton, and exclusive athlete segments.
